Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CuminUP60 is a novel formulation of curcumin designed to enhance its bioavailability, which is typically limited by poor water solubility. Developed by Qingdao Chenland Pharmaceutical Technology Development Co., Ltd., the product is manufactured using a solvent-free, co-grinding method. The formulation consists of approximately 65–70% turmeric rhizome extract (standardized to 95% curcumin) and 30–35% of the excipient Kolliphor Poloxamer 407. It has been evaluated in clinical trials at The Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University to compare its pharmacokinetic profile against standard curcumin capsules in healthy adult subjects. Curcumin is known for its diverse biological activities, including anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, which CuminUP60 aims to leverage more effectively through improved absorption.
