Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CUR-001 is an investigational combination immunotherapy developed by Currus Biologics for the treatment of mesothelin-positive advanced refractory solid tumors. The therapy consists of two components: CURB-001, a bispecific antibody developed using the company's proprietary BEAT (Bispecific Engagers of Antigen Presenting Cells and T cells) platform, and CURT-001, a FLAG-tagged autologous chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy targeting mesothelin. CURB-001 is designed to simultaneously engage CD40 on professional antigen-presenting cells (APCs) and the FLAG tag on CURT-001 CAR T-cells. This dual engagement activates and licenses the CAR T-cells within lymphoid tissues, away from the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment, thereby enhancing their expansion, persistence, and infiltration into solid tumors. The FDA cleared the Investigational New Drug (IND) application for CUR-001 in September 2026, enabling a first-in-human Phase 1 open-label basket trial.
