Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Curacen is a cosmetic and aesthetic biologic product developed by Japan Bio Products (JBP). It is composed of human placenta extract (hydrolyzate), which contains a rich array of bioactive substances including cell growth factors (such as EGF, FGF, CSF, IGF, NGF, and TGF-beta), interleukins, amino acids, vitamins, peptides, and minerals. The product is designed to promote skin rejuvenation, reduce wrinkles, and improve skin texture and tone by stimulating the production of collagen and elastin and enhancing cellular regeneration. Curacen is available in multiple formulations, including an injectable for mesotherapy, a topical essence, and oral capsules. It is manufactured using high-purification technology to ensure safety and bioavailability, leveraging the same pharmaceutical expertise used for the liver function drug Laennec.
