Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Curasept Biosmalto is a specialized range of biomimetic oral care products, including mousses and toothpastes, designed to remineralize and protect dental hard tissues (enamel and dentin). The product line utilizes two primary functional substances: a Bio-Active Complex consisting of hydroxyapatite substituted with magnesium, strontium, and carbonate ions, and HAF (Hydroxyapatite conjugated with Fluoride and Chitosan). These biomimetic materials are engineered to structurally integrate with the natural mineral structure of the tooth, promoting the repair of incipient carious lesions such as white spot lesions (WSLs) and providing a protective barrier against acid erosion. Additionally, the formulation is effective in treating dentin hypersensitivity by occluding exposed dentinal tubules through the deposition of new mineral phases. It is frequently employed in patients undergoing fixed orthodontic treatment, those with enamel hypomineralization, or individuals at high risk for dental caries.
