Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Curasept Prevent Mouthwash is a specialized oral rinse formulated with ozonized olive oil, colostrum, and tea tree oil, developed by Curasept S.p.A. It is designed to maintain oral eubiosis and prevent the progression of periodontal disease, particularly in patients with Stage I and II periodontitis. The ozonized olive oil acts as a source of active oxygen, which inhibits the growth of anaerobic periodontal pathogens and promotes a healthy oral microbiome. Colostrum provides additional support to the oral mucosa through its content of immunoglobulins, enzymes, and growth factors, bolstering local immune defenses. Tea tree oil contributes complementary antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties. This mouthwash is often used as part of a comprehensive periodontal maintenance regimen that includes ozonized toothpaste and probiotics.
