Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Curasept Protection Booster (also marketed as Curasept Daycare Protection Booster) is a line of topical oral hygiene products developed by the Italian company Curasept S.p.A. The product line includes toothpastes and mouthwashes designed for daily oral hygiene, plaque control, and protection against dental caries and gingivitis. The core technology involves a proprietary CPC-HAP complex, which combines cetylpyridinium chloride (CPC) with hydroxyapatite. This complex facilitates the remineralization of tooth enamel while providing a sustained release of the antimicrobial agent CPC for up to four hours. The formulation also contains sodium fluoride for cavity prevention and a blend of essential oils (menthol, eucalyptol, thymol, and methyl salicylate) to enhance plaque control and freshen breath. These products are alcohol-free and SLS-free to minimize the risk of oral mucosal irritation.
