Curcuma aromatica root oil is an essential oil obtained by steam distillation from the rhizomes of Curcuma aromatica, commonly known as wild turmeric. It belongs to the Zingiberaceae family and is native to India and surrounding regions. The major constituents include camphor, curzerenone, α-turmerone, ar-turmerone, 1,8-cineole (eucalyptol), and significant amounts of curcuminoids such as curcumin. Its primary uses are in cosmetics (skin care products), aromatherapy for mood enhancement/stress relief[2][4][5], traditional medicine for various ailments including skin conditions and digestive issues.
