Overview

Curodont is a brand of topical dental products designed for the non-invasive treatment and prevention of early carious lesions (white spot lesions) and enamel demineralization. The main active ingredient in the most widely used formulation, Curodont Repair Fluoride Plus, is sodium fluoride. The product works by promoting remineralization of early-stage caries through a proprietary formula that attracts calcium and phosphate ions from saliva to the lesion site. This process helps arrest or reverse non-cavitated carious lesions without drilling or anesthesia. The mechanism is described as Guided Enamel Regeneration (GER), which bridges preventive care and restorative dentistry by enabling in-depth remineralization while preserving natural tooth structure. Other formulations under the brand include Curodont Protect, which uses stabilized stannous fluoride for anti-cavity and anti-sensitivity effects[1][3][4][5][6][7].
