CV-02

CV-02 is a small molecule, biased agonist of the sphingosine-1-phosphate receptor 1 (S1P1) being developed by Cureverse. It is designed for the treatment of autoimmune and neurological disorders, specifically multiple sclerosis. As a biased agonist, CV-02 is engineered to selectively activate specific signaling pathways of the S1P1 receptor, aiming to maintain therapeutic efficacy in sequestering lymphocytes while avoiding the G-protein coupled inward-rectifier potassium (GIRK) channel activation that leads to cardiac side effects like bradycardia. The program is currently in the IND-enabling/preclinical stage and is positioned as a potential best-in-class therapy.
