Overview

This is an investigational combination therapy consisting of four agents: - **CV301** is a cancer vaccine designed to stimulate the immune system to target tumor-associated antigens CEA and MUC1. - **Bevacizumab** (brand name Avastin) is a recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody that inhibits vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), thereby blocking angiogenesis and starving tumors of their blood supply[3][4][5]. - **Capecitabine** (brand name Xeloda) is an oral prodrug that is converted to 5-fluorouracil in the body and acts as an antimetabolite chemotherapeutic agent. - **Durvalumab** (brand name Imfinzi) is a monoclonal antibody targeting programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1), functioning as an immune checkpoint inhibitor. This combination aims to leverage multiple mechanisms—direct cytotoxicity from chemotherapy, antiangiogenic effects from bevacizumab, immune activation by the vaccine CV301, and checkpoint blockade by durvalumab—to enhance anti-tumor efficacy. It has been studied in clinical trials for advanced or metastatic cancers.
