Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CVS Health 12 Hour Sinus Relief Nasal Mist is an over-the-counter (OTC) nasal decongestant spray containing oxymetazoline hydrochloride at a concentration of 0.05%. As a small molecule sympathomimetic amine, it acts as an agonist on alpha-adrenergic receptors within the nasal mucosa. This stimulation leads to vasoconstriction of the dilated arterioles, reducing blood flow and swelling in the nasal passages, which facilitates easier breathing. It is indicated for the temporary relief of nasal congestion due to the common cold, hay fever, upper respiratory allergies, and sinusitis, providing symptomatic relief for up to 12 hours. The product is distributed by CVS Pharmacy and manufactured by Product Quest Manufacturing.
