CWP232228 is a small molecule inhibitor of the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway, developed by JW Pharmaceutical. It acts by disrupting the interaction between β-catenin and T-cell factor (TCF) transcription factors, thereby inhibiting the expression of Wnt target genes involved in cell proliferation, survival, and stemness. Preclinical studies have demonstrated its efficacy in various malignancies, including epithelial ovarian cancer, breast cancer, and hepatocellular carcinoma, where it has been shown to induce apoptosis, inhibit cell migration and invasion, and reduce the population of cancer stem cells (CSCs).
