Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CX12 is a preclinical-stage small molecule inhibitor targeting Methyltransferase-like 3 (METTL3), developed by Hangzhou Bangshun Pharmaceutical (Biosun Pharma). METTL3 is the catalytic subunit of the N6-methyladenosine (m6A) methyltransferase complex, which plays a critical role in RNA epigenetics by regulating mRNA stability, splicing, and translation. Dysregulation of m6A methylation is implicated in the progression and immune evasion of various cancers. CX12 is being developed for the treatment of solid tumors, both as a monotherapy and in combination with other agents. The sponsor expects to submit an Investigational New Drug (IND) application for CX12 in 2027.
