Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CX201 is a small molecule inhibitor targeting Sterol Regulatory Element-Binding Protein 1 (SREBP1), currently in preclinical development by CureX Biopharma for the treatment of renal cell carcinoma (RCC). SREBP1 is a master transcriptional regulator of lipid homeostasis, and its dysregulation is associated with the metabolic reprogramming observed in various malignancies. By inhibiting SREBP1, CX201 aims to suppress the lipogenic pathways that support tumor cell proliferation and survival, particularly in clear cell renal cell carcinoma where lipid accumulation is a hallmark feature.
