Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CXCL10 mRNA lipid nanoparticles is a preclinical-stage, lung-targeted mRNA therapeutic formulated in lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) containing 10% DOTAP. Developed by Peking University Cancer Hospital and the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, it is designed for nebulized pulmonary delivery to treat lung cancer. By delivering mRNA encoding C-X-C motif chemokine ligand 10 (CXCL10), the therapy reconstitutes a lung-restricted chemokine gradient in the tumor microenvironment. This gradient enhances the recruitment of CXCR3-expressing chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cells (such as B7H3- or mesothelin-targeted CAR-T cells) to the lungs, improving their trafficking, infiltration, and antitumor efficacy while reducing systemic toxicity.
