Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A CXCL2-neutralizing antibody is a monoclonal antibody designed to bind and neutralize C-X-C motif chemokine ligand 2 (CXCL2), a chemokine involved in neutrophil recruitment, inflammation, and bone remodeling. In preclinical research, CXCL2 inhibition has been investigated for its therapeutic potential in age-related osteoporosis, where senescent osteocyte-derived CXCL2 drives bone loss by promoting osteoclastogenesis via FOXO3/SLC7A11-mediated ferroptosis. Additionally, CXCL2-neutralizing antibodies have been studied in models of bone healing, ischemic stroke, and inflammatory diseases to reduce neutrophil infiltration and tissue damage.
