Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CXCR3-targeted nanobody is a preclinical-stage single-domain antibody (nanobody) designed to target and block the C-X-C chemokine receptor type 3 (CXCR3). Developed by researchers at the Chinese PLA General Hospital, this nanobody is being investigated for its therapeutic potential in cardiovascular diseases, specifically atherosclerosis. By blocking the CXCL10-CXCR3 signaling axis, the nanobody inhibits macrophage trained immunity, reverses intraplaque cellular crosstalk, and attenuates atherosclerotic plaque progression. Preclinical studies in mouse models have demonstrated that CXCR3 nanobody blockade significantly reduces aortic lesions, offering a novel approach to cardiovascular immunotherapy.
