Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CXCR4 (Salipro Biotech) is a preclinical therapeutic program focused on targeting the C-X-C chemokine receptor type 4 (CXCR4) for applications in immuno-oncology. The program utilizes Salipro Biotech's proprietary Salipro® technology, which employs lipid-protein nanoparticles to stabilize complex membrane proteins, such as G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs), in their native and functional conformation. By maintaining the structural integrity of CXCR4, the platform enables the discovery and development of potent therapeutic agents, including monoclonal antibodies and small molecules. In the context of oncology, targeting the CXCR4/CXCL12 signaling axis is intended to inhibit tumor cell migration, disrupt the protective tumor stroma, and alleviate the immunosuppressive environment of the tumor microenvironment, thereby enhancing the efficacy of the immune system against cancer cells.
