**Cy5.5@SAPD** is an experimental near-infrared fluorescent self-assembled peptide-DTPA nanoparticle developed as a dual-targeting theranostic candidate for glioblastoma multiforme. It comprises a cyclic Arg-Gly-Asp-Lys-Leu-Ala-Lys peptide containing an RGD integrin-binding motif and a KALK mitochondria-targeting motif, with Cyanine5.5 conjugated to enable near-infrared fluorescence imaging. The nanoparticle showed preferential uptake in U87MG glioblastoma cells, affinity for integrin alpha-V beta-3, mitochondrial damage-associated apoptosis, and preclinical antitumor and imaging potential. Cy5.5@SAPD itself is the non-radiolabeled fluorescent nanoparticle; a separate technetium-99m-labeled derivative, Cy5.5@SAPD-99mTc, was evaluated for combined SPECT and near-infrared fluorescence imaging.
