Overview

**CYC156** is a monoclonal antibody that binds to cancer/testis antigen 1 (CTAG1, also known as NY-ESO-1), a protein normally expressed only in testicular germ cells but aberrantly expressed in various cancers including those of the skin, uterus, and bladder. Identified through deorphaning studies using Membrane Proteome Array (MPA) technology, it demonstrates high-affinity binding to CTAG1, suggesting potential as a cancer therapeutic targeting tumors with this antigen. Developed by Totient (now part of Integral Molecular), it was derived from cancerous tissues and validated via biosensor experiments for binding kinetics.[4]
