Cyclo 3

Cyclo 3 (commonly marketed as Cyclo 3 Fort) is a well-established venotonic and vasculoprotective combination drug developed by Pierre Fabre. It consists of three active ingredients: a dry extract of butcher's broom (*Ruscus aculeatus*), hesperidin methyl chalcone, and ascorbic acid (Vitamin C). The combination is widely used for the symptomatic treatment of chronic venous insufficiency (including heavy legs, pain, and nocturnal cramps), hemorrhoidal crises, and certain types of gynecological bleeding (such as metrorrhagia associated with intrauterine devices or microprogestogen contraception). *Ruscus aculeatus* extract acts as an agonist of postsynaptic alpha-adrenergic receptors, promoting venoconstriction and improving venous tone. Hesperidin methyl chalcone, a flavonoid, reduces capillary permeability and increases capillary resistance, while ascorbic acid protects capillary walls and supports collagen synthesis.
