Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination chemotherapy and targeted therapy regimen for HER2-positive breast cancer. This regimen combines four cytotoxic agents (cyclophosphamide, docetaxel, doxorubicin, and nab-paclitaxel) with two HER2-targeted monoclonal antibodies (pertuzumab and trastuzumab). The dual HER2 blockade provided by pertuzumab and trastuzumab targets different domains of the HER2 receptor, while the chemotherapy agents work through different mechanisms to kill rapidly dividing cells.
