This is a combination of four drugs used in breast cancer treatment. Each component has a different mechanism of action: - Cyclophosphamide is an alkylating agent that attaches to and damages DNA in cancer cells when they are in their resting phase, preventing cell division. - Docetaxel is a taxane that damages the structure supporting cancer cells, stopping their growth and division. - Epirubicin is an anthracycline antibiotic that intercalates into DNA through topoisomerase II inhibition, generating oxygen and interfering with protein synthesis in tumor cells. - Fulvestrant (Faslodex) is an estrogen receptor antagonist used in hormone therapy for breast cancer.
