This combination has been studied as neoadjuvant therapy for stage I-III triple-negative breast cancer as well as high-risk hormone receptor-positive/HER2-negative breast cancer. Clinical trials have shown that adding durvalumab to the chemotherapy backbone may improve pathologic complete response rates compared to chemotherapy alone. The regimen involves sequential or concurrent administration of these drugs over several cycles before surgery[1][3][4][8].
