Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a combination chemotherapy regimen consisting of cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin (Adriamycin), and eribulin mesylate. Cyclophosphamide is an alkylating agent that stops cancer cells from reproducing by damaging their DNA. Doxorubicin is an anthracycline that stops cancer cells from making DNA and interferes with the enzymes that repair DNA in cells. Eribulin is a microtubule inhibitor that belongs to the halichondrin class of antineoplastic drugs. This combination has been studied in clinical trials for the treatment of breast cancer, particularly HER2-negative breast cancer.
