A combination chemotherapy regimen consisting of cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin (Adriamycin), UFT (uracil and tegafur), and tamoxifen. This regimen is designed as a chemoendocrine therapy with high antitumor effect and relatively mild adverse reactions for the treatment of advanced and recurrent breast cancer. In this therapy, one 3-week cycle consists of doxorubicin 30 mg/m² intravenously on day 1, cyclophosphamide 65 mg/m² orally on days 1-14, UFT 300 mg/m² orally on days 1-14, and tamoxifen 20 mg/day orally on days 1-21.
