Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination chemotherapy regimen consisting of cyclophosphamide (an alkylating agent), paclitaxel (a taxane), and filgrastim (G-CSF, a growth factor). This regimen is primarily used in the treatment of breast and ovarian cancers. Cyclophosphamide damages DNA in rapidly dividing cells, paclitaxel stabilizes microtubules during cell division preventing cancer cell multiplication, and filgrastim stimulates neutrophil production to reduce the risk of infection during chemotherapy-induced neutropenia.
