Cyclophosphamide + non-pegylated liposomal doxorubicin is a combination chemotherapy regimen used primarily in the treatment of breast cancer, including metastatic and recurrent forms. Cyclophosphamide is an alkylating agent that cross-links DNA, leading to inhibition of DNA replication and cell death. Non-pegylated liposomal doxorubicin is an anthracycline antibiotic encapsulated in conventional (non-PEG) liposomes, which intercalates into DNA and inhibits topoisomerase II, resulting in DNA damage and apoptosis.
