Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a combination drug consisting of cyclosporine, dexamethasone, and prednisolone. Cyclosporine is a calcineurin inhibitor immunosuppressant that prevents organ transplant rejection and treats various inflammatory and autoimmune conditions by inhibiting T-cell activation through the inhibition of calcineurin[1]. Dexamethasone is a synthetic glucocorticoid corticosteroid with potent anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive properties; it acts by binding to the glucocorticoid receptor, modulating gene expression to suppress inflammation and immune responses[5][6]. Prednisolone is also a synthetic glucocorticoid corticosteroid with similar anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive effects as dexamethasone, commonly used in treating autoimmune diseases, allergies, asthma, and other inflammatory conditions[7]. The combination may be used in clinical scenarios requiring strong suppression of immune activity or inflammation.
