Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination immunosuppressive regimen consisting of cyclosporine (a calcineurin inhibitor) with methylprednisolone and prednisolone (both corticosteroids). This triple therapy is used primarily in organ transplantation to prevent rejection and in severe autoimmune disorders. The combination provides synergistic immunosuppression through complementary mechanisms - cyclosporine inhibits T-cell activation and proliferation by blocking calcineurin, while the corticosteroids provide broader anti-inflammatory effects through multiple pathways.
