Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**CYD dengue virus serotype 4 live attenuated antigen** is the dengue virus serotype 4 component of Sanofi's tetravalent live-attenuated dengue vaccine, Dengvaxia. It is a recombinant chimeric flavivirus built on the attenuated yellow fever 17D204 viral backbone, with the premembrane and envelope structural-protein sequences derived from dengue virus serotype 4. When delivered as part of Dengvaxia, it is intended to induce serotype 4-specific neutralizing immune responses and contribute to prevention of dengue disease caused by dengue virus serotypes 1 through 4 in previously dengue-infected individuals.
