Overview

CYL-02 is a plasmid-based gene therapy product designed to sensitize pancreatic cancer cells to chemotherapy. It contains a plasmid DNA encoding mouse somatostatin receptor subtype 2 (sst2) and a fusion protein of human deoxycytidine kinase (DCK) and uridine monophosphate kinase (UMK). When administered intratumorally via endoscopic ultrasound, CYL-02 delivers therapeutic DNA to tumors, resulting in long-term anticancerous gene expression. It is typically used in combination with gemcitabine for the treatment of advanced pancreatic cancer.
