Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CYM50358 is a **potent, selective small molecule antagonist** of the sphingosine-1-phosphate receptor 4 (**S1P4 receptor/S1PR4**), part of the G protein-coupled receptor family. It has shown efficacy in preclinical models by suppressing antigen-induced degranulation in mast cells and reducing Th2 cytokine levels, eosinophil and lymphocyte accumulation, inflammation, mucin production, and serum IgE in a mouse model of allergic asthma. These results support the drug’s therapeutic potential in allergic asthma, with additional research suggesting immune-modulating and possible anti-tumor or anti-fibrotic activities via S1P4 antagonism. It is intended for research use only and is not approved for human therapy[1][2][3][5][9][10][13].
