Cymalon

**Cymalon** is an over-the-counter oral urinary alkalinising product for short-term symptomatic relief of cystitis-associated dysuria in women. Each sachet contains sodium citrate dihydrate, citric acid anhydrous, sodium bicarbonate, and sodium carbonate; when dissolved in water, the formulation reduces urinary acidity and helps relieve burning, stinging, and irritation during urination. It is not an antibacterial treatment and does not eradicate an underlying urinary infection. The usual adult course is one sachet orally three times daily for two days.
