Cymetra

Cymetra is an injectable, micronized form of acellular human dermal matrix (ADM) derived from decellularized human cadaver skin. Developed by LifeCell Corporation, it is a biologic scaffold that retains the essential biochemical and structural components of the basement membrane while removing antigenic cellular elements. It is primarily indicated as a soft tissue filler for cosmetic applications, such as lip augmentation and the treatment of facial wrinkles. Upon injection, Cymetra acts as a framework to promote host cell infiltration, revascularization, and tissue ingrowth, effectively integrating into the recipient's tissue. It has also been utilized off-label for medical conditions including unilateral vocal fold paralysis and the management of chronic wounds.
