Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CYMS101 is a clinical-stage, allogeneic fibroblast-based cell therapy developed by FibroBiologics for the treatment of multiple sclerosis (MS). Fibroblasts are versatile, non-stem cells harvested from skin tissue that exhibit potent immunomodulatory and regenerative capabilities similar to mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), but with greater ease of expansion and scalability. The therapy is designed to modulate the pathological immune response in MS and promote the repair of damaged myelin, potentially slowing disease progression. It is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials.
