Overview

CYN-101 is an investigational apoptosis-stimulating viral vector therapy developed by Cynvec. It is based on a Sindbis virus (SIN) platform, which leverages the natural tropism of the virus for cells overexpressing the 67-kDa high-affinity laminin receptor (LAMR), a protein frequently upregulated in various cancers. Upon entering the target cell, the viral vector replicates and induces programmed cell death (apoptosis). CYN-101 is being developed for the treatment of neoplasms, endocrine and metabolic diseases, and urogenital disorders. The program is currently in the early stages of development, with its global R&D status often characterized as pending or in the pre-clinical phase.
