Cynanchi Paniculati Radix, derived from the dried root and rhizome of *Cynanchum paniculatum* (Bge.) Kitag., is a traditional Chinese medicinal herb widely used for its analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and antipruritic properties. Its primary active constituent is paeonol, which contributes to its efficacy in treating rheumatic pain, stomachaches, and various skin conditions such as eczema and urticaria. In addition to paeonol, the herb contains C21 steroidal glycosides and volatile oils. It is officially listed in the Pharmacopoeia of the People's Republic of China and is often administered as a decoction or topical application.
