Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CYP-004 is an allogeneic mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) therapy developed by Cynata Therapeutics using its proprietary Cymerus™ platform. The Cymerus technology utilizes induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) to produce a consistent and scalable supply of MSCs, bypassing the limitations of donor-derived MSCs. CYP-004 is currently being evaluated in the Phase III SCUlpTOR clinical trial, sponsored by the University of Sydney, for the treatment of knee osteoarthritis. The therapy aims to improve clinical outcomes and knee joint structure by leveraging the immunomodulatory and regenerative properties of MSCs.
