Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CYP-006TK is an investigational combination product comprising allogeneic induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)-derived mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), known as Cymerus™ MSCs, seeded onto a proprietary heptylamine plasma polymer-coated silicone wound dressing. Developed by Cynata Therapeutics in collaboration with TekCyte, the product is designed to treat chronic wounds, specifically diabetic foot ulcers (DFU). The Cymerus technology utilizes mesenchymoangioblasts (MCAs) as a precursor to produce a consistent and scalable supply of MSCs, avoiding the limitations of donor-derived bone marrow MSCs. The active dressing facilitates the localized delivery of these cells to the ulcer site, where they are intended to promote tissue repair and regeneration through paracrine signaling and the modulation of the wound microenvironment.
