CYP1B1 siRNA is a small interfering RNA (siRNA) designed to silence the expression of the Cytochrome P450 1B1 (CYP1B1) enzyme. CYP1B1 is a member of the cytochrome P450 superfamily and is frequently overexpressed in various malignancies, including renal cell carcinoma (RCC). In these contexts, CYP1B1 promotes tumorigenesis by upregulating CDC20 and downregulating the pro-apoptotic protein DAPK1. By utilizing the RNA interference (RNAi) pathway, CYP1B1 siRNA facilitates the degradation of CYP1B1 mRNA, leading to reduced protein levels. Preclinical studies have demonstrated that this silencing results in decreased cell proliferation, migration, and invasion, while simultaneously inducing apoptosis in RCC cell lines, suggesting its potential as a therapeutic strategy for cancer treatment.
