Overview

Cypofol is a proprietary formulation of propofol, an intravenous anesthetic agent. Propofol acts primarily as a positive allosteric modulator of the gamma-aminobutyric acid type A (GABA-A) receptor, enhancing the inhibitory effects of GABA in the central nervous system. This results in sedation, hypnosis, and anesthesia. Cypofol is developed to provide rapid onset and short duration of action for induction and maintenance of general anesthesia or sedation during medical procedures.
