Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Cystop-Met is an oral combination tablet developed and marketed by MMC Healthcare Ltd (also known as MMC Pharmaceuticals) for the treatment of polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). The formulation contains five active ingredients: metformin, myo-inositol, D-chiro inositol, L-methylfolate calcium, and methylcobalamin. It works by improving insulin sensitivity through metformin and the inositol isomers, which helps regulate hormonal balance and restore ovulation. The inclusion of L-methylfolate and methylcobalamin supports healthy homocysteine levels and overall reproductive health. It is primarily used to manage insulin resistance, regulate menstrual cycles, and improve egg quality in women with PCOS. The drug is an approved medication marketed in India.
