Overview

**CYT-21625** is a preclinical, dual-action gold nanoparticle nanomedicine developed by CytImmune Sciences. It co-delivers recombinant human tumor necrosis factor alpha and the paclitaxel prodrug analog JZ-21625 on PEGylated colloidal gold particles. Tumor necrosis factor alpha engages tumor necrosis factor receptors on tumor vasculature and cancer cells, causing vascular disruption and increased intratumoral permeability, while the paclitaxel prodrug is released in the tumor microenvironment to stabilize microtubules and induce cancer-cell death. In mouse models of metastatic anaplastic and follicular thyroid cancer and pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors, CYT-21625 reduced tumor burden and showed no observed toxicity. Publicly available evidence supports preclinical development only.
