Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CYT007-TNFQb is an active immunization therapy developed as a therapeutic vaccine targeting tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α). It is designed to induce the patient's immune system to generate antibodies against TNF-α, thereby inhibiting its activity. The drug was primarily investigated for the treatment of autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and psoriasis. By neutralizing TNF-α, a key pro-inflammatory cytokine involved in these conditions, CYT007-TNFQb aims to reduce inflammation and disease symptoms[1][2][4]. The therapy represents a novel approach compared to traditional monoclonal antibody or fusion protein TNF inhibitors.
