Overview

**CYT107 + GenHevac + entecavir + tenofovir** is a combination therapy under investigation, typically for severe viral infections (notably Hepatitis B and COVID-19) combining: - **CYT107**: recombinant human interleukin-7, an immunostimulatory cytokine that promotes lymphocyte survival and proliferation, improving immune response, particularly in lymphopenic patients[1][3]. - **GenHevac**: a recombinant hepatitis B vaccine, designed to elicit protective antibody and T-cell responses against hepatitis B virus. - **Entecavir**: a potent nucleoside analogue antiviral inhibiting hepatitis B virus DNA polymerase/ reverse transcriptase, leading to chain termination and effective suppression of viral replication[2][4][6]. - **Tenofovir**: a nucleotide analogue antiviral (usually as tenofovir disoproxil fumarate), also inhibiting hepatitis B virus reverse transcriptase, showing synergistic activity with entecavir for multidrug-resistant HBV, and active against HIV[2][4][6]. The combination may be used experimentally to simultaneously stimulate immune recovery, provide active and passive HBV immunization, and suppress HBV viral replication, especially in patients with co-infections, acquired immunodeficiencies, or prior treatment failures[3]. CYT107 is under clinical development by RevImmune. Entecavir and tenofovir are approved drugs produced by various manufacturers. GenHevac B is a vaccine developed by Pasteur Mérieux (now Sanofi).
