Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Cytidine disodium triphosphate is a pyrimidine nucleoside triphosphate derivative that acts as a coenzyme in cellular metabolism, particularly in the biosynthesis of phospholipids (such as phosphatidylcholine via the Kennedy pathway) and nucleic acids (RNA and DNA). It is also involved in protein glycosylation and serves as a high-energy molecule. In clinical practice, cytidine disodium triphosphate is primarily used as an injection for the auxiliary treatment of nervous system disorders, including craniocerebral trauma (brain concussion and its sequelae), cerebral hemorrhage sequelae, vegetative nerve disorders, neurosis, and cardiovascular conditions such as progressive myocardial atrophy and heart failure.
