CYWC628 is an allogeneic fibroblast-based cell therapy consisting of fibroblast spheroids, developed by FibroBiologics for the treatment of diabetic foot ulcers (DFU). The therapy is designed to promote wound healing in chronic wounds by leveraging the regenerative properties of fibroblasts. FibroBiologics has established a manufacturing partnership with Charles River Laboratories for cGMP production of the therapeutic supply and cell banks. The company has also engaged Southern Star Research to manage a Phase 1/2 clinical trial in Australia, which is scheduled to commence in 2025.
