Overview

D-1553 + pembrolizumab is a combination therapy under investigation for the treatment of cancer. D-1553 is a small molecule inhibitor targeting KRAS G12C mutations, which are commonly found in certain solid tumors such as non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and colorectal cancer. Pembrolizumab is a humanized monoclonal antibody that targets programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1), functioning as an immune checkpoint inhibitor to enhance anti-tumor immune responses. Pembrolizumab was developed by Merck & Co and is approved for multiple cancers including melanoma, NSCLC, head and neck squamous cell carcinoma, classical Hodgkin lymphoma, urothelial carcinoma, and others[1][3][6]. The combination aims to leverage the direct anti-tumor effects of KRAS inhibition with the immunomodulatory activity of PD-1 blockade.
