Overview

D-BACE is a drug-eluting bead (DCB) formulation that delivers the anthracycline chemotherapy agent epirubicin. Epirubicin exerts its cytotoxic effects by intercalating into DNA, inhibiting DNA topoisomerase II, and generating free radicals, leading to DNA damage and cell death. The DCB microspheres provide localized and sustained release of epirubicin to the tumor.
